Fitted four Pilot Sport 4 on a well maintained Mercedes E350. This is the 2nd set within 3 years at an ave 6k-7k miles per annum. Good grip and quiet but longevity is appalling for the price.

Didnt last as long as claimed by Michelin.

These Michelin tyres are a lot better than my old ones, They seem a lot stiffer when going round roundabouts, and they’re great in wet conditions

I am a self proclaimed tyre nut. My brief on tyres for road cars is excellent lateral wet weather grip, excellent wet weather braking, low noise, reasonable wear. Safety is paramount and if you can avoid any accident by having good tyres then they have paid for themselves. When you think of the PS5's outbraking some other tyres by numerous metres from 80kph in the wet, and then factor in a human element, such as a child or car, then for me it is cheap insurance. I have had many different tyre brands, from Goodyear, yokos, Bridgestone, Falken, and recently Michelin. I do a lot of research before buying a tyre and originally started with the PS3's. They were ok but the PS4 was a great improvement. The wear, however, could have been better. Enter the PS5. I estimate I have around 10,000KM left on them before I hit the tread depth indicators. By then they will have clocked up 70,000 KM, a ridiculously high mileage for a UHP tyre. I hear some of you saying "but how are you driving them and on what vehicle?" Fair call too. OK they are on a small AWD wagon, mostly hwy k's, hot aussie summers and snow driving (not that there was much of that this year down under). They don't get driven that hard, but they do enjoy the occasional spirited drive through the twisty bits. By the time you weigh up the cost of the tyre over the expected total kms, the PS5 kills the opposition in value for money. My only gripe is they don't make them in the size used on the vehicle I am looking at next. Perhaps a Tiguan isn't sporty enough.

Screw in on just 4k miles from new, needs to be replaced as “close to sidewall” Too expensive and not repairable on this kind of cases! Not good value or durability for the money !
