Absolutely amazing all round tyres
I have been riding super bikes since 1985 and now currently riding a ZX14R, on all my previous bikes and 1st rear tyre on the ZX14R, the best Km's I got was average 9000 km, I watched the episode on The Bike Show with Donavan Fourie testing the Road 5 and decided to give them a go, best decision ever, besides the fantastic edge grip, I got 16 400 km's on the combo, I have subsequently upgraded to the Road 6 and haven't looked back. Well done Michelin.

Excellent all purpose tyre
An excellent all year and general purpose tyre. Certainly very good in the wet. My R1200rt is a good match for the tryres. Wear seems very good. I would consider these tyres excellent for touring.

Speed twin 1200 perfect tyre
Done many miles with these now, in rain, in mixed damp roads and dry warm days and they are excellent. Give fantastic confidence in the wet all the grip you need in the dry. I would even trackday with these (intermediate). Perfect road tyre and are wearing excellent

Poor design and testing
Great tyre in the dry and equally seems good for traction and grip in wet, but such a poor design, you and your bike get absolutely covered in muck and road spray. The 3D progressive stripes suck up whatever is on the road and lob it back at you. I’ve never been so wet and mucky from winter riding.

Solid Tyres
Replaced old tyres with the Michelin Road Pilot 5s which give me assurance and confidence in all weathers.

Excellent tire in all conditions
Warm, cold, rain, dry, … doesn’t matter. This tyre performs flawlessly in all conditions. Lasts long too, 12000 - 13000 kms easily.

Skid master
I have never ridden a rear tire this bad since Avon brought out the Deathmaster back in 1886 - been out 4 times on the bike and 4 times it steeped out , slid the bike completely sideways - utterly hopeless . Don’t go near these commuter tires , if your bike has any kind of performance
